Techno India University, Tripura (TIUT) was established through the enactment of “THE TECHNO INDIA UNIVERSITY, TRIPURA ACT, 2023” as an initiative of the Techno India Group. Over the past four decades, the journey of the Techno India Group has been phenomenal. Today, the organization is a global brand with its presence in diverse sectors, providing unparalleled opportunities to the youth of India. What started as a sapling in 1985 has grown into a gigantic tree with numerous branches in education, entertainment, publication, health, and media for the entrepreneurial generation of India. Prior to the introduction of the open economy in India, the Roychowdhury brothers of Kapasdanga, Hooghly, recognized the immense potential of computer education and pioneered a revolution in digital literacy in the state. They foresaw that the professional lives of the new generation would heavily rely on the application of computers in daily life. The University offers educational programs and research in a wide array of subjects, under disciplines like Engineering and Technology, Science, Medicine, Management, Law, Humanities, Language and Literature, Architecture, Social Science, Education, Performing Arts, Sports, Media, Design, etc. TIUT provides multidisciplinary courses with specializations designed to equip students with the necessary subject and practical skills and knowledge for leadership roles in jobs and self-employment.
